Ik sprak bij TEDx

De Indiaan op het podium bij TEDx.  Afgelopen zaterdag werd ik uitgedaagd om de zaal ‘ Upside down’ te zetten tijdens het 6e event van TEDx door mijn visie op jouw kledingkast te delen.

Wat vertelde ik zoal? “I work in the clothing industry and this industry is one of the biggest polluters, in many ways. The sustainable fashion industry is on the rise, however most of their solutions are looking at the production side. But what if we look at the consumer as well? What if we can change their mindset and following their behaviour? And what if we make the consumer understand to buy less.

Your wardrobe is a collection.  All those clothes holding your memories as you wear them during all the different phases of your life. Your wardrobe that can tell so much about you. About the colours, styles, dessins, shapes and fabrics you love.  And yes, depending on the situation, on the mood you have at that day, you feel more at ease in one outfit than in another. But try to remember this, try to apply this mind-set: MY WARDROBE IS FULL OF POSSIBILITIES.”

Ik had een droge mond en klamme handen voor ik het podium op moest, maar ik vond het een feest toen ik mocht spreken. Heel enthousiast publiek en een mooie lineup.  Binnenkort komt mijn hele TEDx talk online, ik zal de link met je delen.
